Meet Ed Caroll

Carroll was promoted to President in January 2024 after a year-long tenure as Chief Strategy Officer. During that time, Carroll played a pivotal role in Kino Lorber’s expansion into digital, including the acquisition of the MHz Choice SVOD and the formation of a joint venture with First Look Media merging the Topic streaming service into MHz Choice. In November 2023, the company launched its new SVOD Kino Film Collection on the Amazon service via Prime Video Channels and in May 2024 launched its own standalone, direct-to-consumer service.

Carroll joined Kino Lorber in January 2023 after a 34-year career at AMC Networks. While there, he oversaw and greenlit the development of some of TV's most iconic series including Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Portlandia, Killing Eve, Inside the Actors Studio and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.  He served in various executive roles including General Manager at Bravo and AMC Networks and oversaw programming, marketing, ad sales, and international distribution. Carroll also oversaw AMC Networks streaming channels including Acorn, Sundance Now, and Shudder, and presided over the launch of AMC+.

Carroll serves on the Board of Directors for Film Independent and is based in the New York City Metropolitan area.
