Amir Bogen
Amir Bogen is a New York-based film scholar, journalist, and festival executive. He serves as the artistic director of the Lighthouse International Film Festival and a features programmer at the Woodstock Film Festival. Amir is also the senior film and TV writer of Ynet. A Ph.D. candidate in film theory, he specializes in the philosophical and political dimensions of Hollywood sci-fi, particularly superhero films and space operas.
He has taught film courses at Wesleyan University. Passionate about sociopolitical analysis in cinema, he curates, moderates, and participates in film festivals worldwide, blending academic research with hands-on industry engagement.
